Will a new era begin on Monday?

Monday’s the big day for the premieres of All My Children and One Life to Live on hulu.com.  As a fan of both for over 40 years, I can’t tell you how excited I am.  I’ll watch the new shows and report back that same night how I feel about them. I know all of you, my dear Thinking Fans, will be bursting with opinions, too.  And I can’t wait to hear them.  So let’s all meet back here Monday evening and start the conversation! — Love,  Marlena

  1. I am certainly looking forward to this. On one hand, I don’t want to build it up too much, in my head, but on the other, I don’t want to be sour about it. I feel a lot less like this is a reboot, or relaunch, than a show that simply went on extended hiatus and is back. Think of it like The Sopranos or The Wire, when they would be off the air for 16 months at a time. I am looking mainly for the elements of intelligence, humor, romance and mystery, along with a great cast and sharp direction and dialogue, that embodied what OLTL was. I may also, for the first time in about 12 years, check out AMC. Just because. Best of luck to PP and all involved. I want this to be a smash launch.

Marlena says: What a nice note! We’ll be watching the shows along with you tomorrow, Adam, and look forward to hearing your reactions.
